Finally the gameplay has been revealed for Battlefield 4, and its looking to be running on the Frostbite 3.0 engine. So far this game looks like to be the best FPS game this gen, and looks to be a contender for game of the year of 2013.
In this video we can clearly see that the campaign is going to have a production value that rivals a AAA Hollywood action flick. Call of Duty has been no far its high octane campaign, but Battlefield 4 looks like it can surpass it. It feels like you are right in the moment when you hear civilians scream when the bad guys are running a muck on the city. The guns used in the video have such good sound quality, and they look great. Another thing that is good to note is that your ally AI in this game look to be pretty smart. Its great to see AI taking down the enemy rather than them being useless. Voice overs done in this game seemed to have improved to what it was in Battlefield 3. Its great seeing squadmates conversing with each other, it just adds to the realism of the game.
Graphics look much improved and the Frostbite 3.0 engine add such great physics to the game. Its crazy seeing rocks crumble, the explosion effects, recoil, and enemies getting hit. You can see so much detail in the game like great smoke effects, dust being blown from a helicopter, and so many little details going on at the screen at the same time. The lighting in the game looks amazing, and it looks just beautiful when action is happening indoor
What I really want to know how is this game going to look on the PS3 and Xbox 360, plus how great it will look on the PS4 and next gen Xbox. Its not looking good for Nintendo fans because this game will most likely not be released on the Wii U. This game is most likely coming out in the Fall 2013. As Bart Scott will say "CAN'T WAIT" because this is my most anticipated game I want to play of the year

My only worry is it will be a short campaign like BF3 was. That was a disappointment in my book. I feel like they might be rushing this game to get sales like they did battlefield 3 and will ultimately have disappointments or issues. People will then be deciding if they will be bf3 players or bf4 players.
ReplyDeleteGreat point i am guessing campaign will be 6-10 hours. I know most battlefield games focus on multiplayer, but this game looks to added production value to campaign
